Community and Patient Resources

Amputee Walking School

This course provides training in advanced amputee exercises appropriate for all levels and abilities. As a result, therapists gain necessary skills to help advance their amputee patients to the next level, and amputees learn how to use their prosthesis more effectively, enabling them to interact with their environment with more confidence. Amputees of all ages and abilities, even those who do not yet have a prosthesis, are encouraged to attend.

Amputee Support Group

An integral part of recovery is developing friendships and learning from your peers. The group meets in person in different parts of the state as well as virtually each month for “Let’s Talk Tuesday,” a chance to connect everyone across the state.

Patients, family members, and therapists are welcome to join to share their experiences with one another.
