Residency Program

Residency Program

Kenney Orthopedics offers a well-rounded, comprehensive, patient-centered residency that allows residents to develop their clinical skills while under the supervision of a NCOPE certified Mentor/Director. We strive to provide a learning experience that allows our residents to improve their hand skills and become better critical thinkers. Residents are not limited to interventions, but are encouraged to research new technology such as MPKs, various socket interfaces, and myoelectric options that will provide the most benefit to their patients. Patient satisfaction is our number one priority.

Residents are exposed to different patient populations in a variety of environments from in-office visits to skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. Approaching patient care as an interdisciplinary team best meets the needs of our patients, so developing relationships with nurses, therapists, and physicians is crucial to provide optimal care. Opportunities for collaboration present themselves often and residents learn from each other at our practitioner and residency meetings. Residents are also exposed to administration and billing procedures and are educated on insurance coding and reimbursement. Kenney Orthopedics strives to provide an all-encompassing clinical experience to prepare the resident for their board exams and becoming a knowledgeable & proficient practitioner.
