During the initial evaluation, our skilled practitioners will guide you through the process of choosing the best AFO or SMO for your child. We will also provide practical guidance on daily care for your child’s new orthosis. For kids with complex presentations, we coordinate our orthosis approach to mirror the wishes of the entire healthcare team. This means that we actively work with you and your team of nurses, doctors, and therapists to ensure that your child achieves the best outcome. Our goal is to prepare your child for the future and empower them to thrive regardless of their circumstances.

Kenney Orthopedics has built a community of experts who work together to ensure that you and your child have access to the resources you need when you need them. For example, we offer a reading list of books for children who require an orthosis to help foster confidence and independence. We also have a patient advocate on staff who, along with your practitioner, will work hard to get your child what he or she needs to thrive.
